Breast hypertrophy is the name given to the excessive volume of the breasts. The breast augmentation may appear as an isolated symptom in young patients (juvenile hypertrophy) or we can see it with the emptiness of the breast (hypertrophy with ptosis).
The procedure is performed under general anesthesia, takes about 3 hours and requires 24-hour hospitalization.
The technique is usually a scar around the areola, which descends vertically to continue through a sub-mammary level in an inverted T-shape.
Recovery time is about 10 days.
